    Last week, the Nigerian film industry, also known as Nollywood, was thrown into mourning as one of its senior performers, Samuel Obiago, succumbed to death. 

    Three days before Christmas, the great actor died in the early hours of Thursday, December 23rd, 2021.

    According to the information we got, the talented actor had been suffering from a stroke for some time, which had been handled, but he died in the early hours of the morning on Thursday, December 23rd, 2021. 
    Emeka Rollas, the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), confirmed his death on Thursday, saying the Iroko had fallen.
    The actor, who was affectionately referred to as Daddy Sam by his coworkers, worked in finance before deciding to pursue acting.
    Sam Obiago is a well-known Nigerian actor, producer, and TV personality. 
    Along with Zubby Michael, Ken Erics, Regina Daniels, Yul Edochie, Chika Ike, Destiny Etiko, Chizzy Alichi, Rachael Okonkwo, and a slew of other top Nollywood stars, he plays kings, title chiefs, elders, fathers, and uncles in epic, action, tragedy, and glamour films. 
    In acting and interpreting movie parts, he is extremely gifted, skilled, creative, and talented. 
    He is quite good at interpreting his roles and can fit into any character offered to him by Nigerian film directors and producers,

    Sam Obiago received a Diploma in Mass Communication from the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) in Enugu after finishing his primary and secondary school education. 
    Following that, he attended Federal University of Technology Akure in Ondo State, Nigeria’s south western region, where he earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in mass communication. 
    He has been hailed as one of Nigeria’s most sought-after performers as well as one of the country’s most skilled.
    Sam Obiago hails from Asaba Delta State in Nigeria’s south-central region. 
    In 2013, he began attending movie auditions and playing as a small character in the Nigerian film industry, also known as Nollywood.

    In the course of his acting career, Sam Obiago has appeared in over 100 Nollywood films. The Love of a Father and Daughter, My Decision, The Ashawo Maid, Magic Dragon, When a Beautiful Girl Loves a Kitchen Boy, Village Runs, Jealousy a Poison to the Heart, and many others are among the films in which he has appeared. He is most recognized for his roles as a king, traditional prime minister, and titled chief in epic traditional films alongside other Nollywood actors.

    Sam Obiago has been characterized as one of Nigeria’s fastest emerging Nollywood actors, carving a space for himself in the make-believe profession and is trending as one of the best outspoken actors in the Nigerian film industry.

    In the course of his acting career, Sam Obiago has been nominated for a few accolades. Most Promising Actor in Nigeria at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award, Best Actor in Drama at the Africa Movie Academy Honors, and Best New Act to Watch at the Best of Nollywood Awards are just a few of the awards he’s been nominated for. At the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, he also won an industry merit award for best actor in traditional epic films.

    Sam Obiago had a successful banking career before joining the Nigerian movie industry, popularly known as Nollywood, with Ecobank Nigeria from 1991 to 2001, Ecobank Transnational Incorporation from 2001 to 2005, Banquet Atlantique (Barclay’s Bank) from 2005 to 2007, and Access Pan Africa from 2007 to 2009.

    Sam Obiago, unfortunately, is no longer alive. 
    He passed away in the early hours of Thursday, December 23, 2021, only three days before Christmas. 
    According to the information we got, the talented actor has been suffering from a stroke for some time, which has been successfully treated. 
    Unfortunately, he died in the early hours of Thursday, December 23rd, 2021.
